We believe recovery doesn’t end when a patient leaves the hospital — it simply begins there.
What happens after discharge is vital.
Too many people are sent home without the supplies, support, or guidance they need to heal. That’s why we created The Big Red Bag.
​Our bags are prepared by medical professionals who understand the journey from both sides of the hospital bed. We’ve designed each kit to meet a real, often unmet need: making at-home recovery safer, smoother, and less overwhelming.
How it All Started?
Sara Reges, our founder, knows recovery from every angle. She’s a nurse navigator. A breast cancer survivor. And a mother who supported her son through a traumatic brain injury.​
After spending years helping patients transition from hospital to home, she saw the same story unfold again and again: people discharged without the tools they actually needed.
So she created what hospitals didn’t.
The Big Red Bag began as a mission to fill the gap — and grew into a nationwide solution.
